KUDDITJI KNGWARREYE

He was the brother of the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye and is one of the most prominent and successful artists in the history of contemporary indigenous Australian art. His unique style is often compared to Mark Rothko.

Her art refers directly to her country and her Dreamings.She  has won several awards and is considered one of the 'most collectible artists in Australia'. Her works are in great demand at auctions.

LILY KARADADA

Born c.1937

The central theme in Lily's paintings is the Wandjinas. They hide in the caves of the Kimberley region. If people go to a cave where there are Wandjinas, they must be careful not to disturb them or the Wandjina might call up a 'Big Cyclone' to blow them away.
